About the Water team
Where Benang began.
Water is Benang's founding discipline and still its deepest. Our crews build and renew water mains from DN80 to DN630 in MSCL, PVC-M, HDPE and DICL, by open cut and by our own trenchless HDD rigs. We deliver live network cutovers and critical shutdowns, deep sewer to 4.5 metres, pump stations, wastewater treatment plant upgrades, ponds and reservoirs, and the pressure testing, disinfection and commissioning that hand assets back to Water Corporation standard. Led by Kristan Duthie, Operations Manager for Water and Civil, the team self-performs the full cycle from pre-construction surveys to final reinstatement, so one crew is accountable for the result.

Pipeline construction
HDD, open-cut, and thrust bore installation up to 630mm OD. MSCL, DICL, HDPE, and UPVC pipe all within scope.
Pond and reservoir construction
Engineered earthwork ponds, concrete reservoirs, and liner installation for Water Corporation and private clients.
Sewerage and drainage
Gravity sewer, pressure main, and stormwater drainage construction in metropolitan and regional WA.
Service connections
Residential and commercial connection to reticulation mains, including meter installation and commissioning.
Maintenance and repair
Emergency response and planned maintenance across the water network, with crews based in Perth Metro.
