Benang supplied and constructed drainage infrastructure and assets for Water Corporation across three sites at Herdsman Lake, installing litter booms, underwater pile anchors, limestone hardstand, access platforms, fencing, bollards and rock protection.

Challenge
Water Corporation needed new drainage assets built across three separate sites at Herdsman Lake, including works over water, with the wetland environment and neighbouring residents protected throughout.
Approach
Benang installed three principal supplied litter booms with twelve underwater pile anchors set at three metres depth, built 500 square metres of limestone hardstand and access platforms, extended fencing at three headwall locations, placed permanent and removable bollards along the northern bank, and applied rock protection to three drains.
Outcome
The drainage assets were delivered across all three sites with disturbed areas restored, no lost time injuries and no environmental incidents, with a peak crew of ten.
