EG40 Bore Pad, Eglinton

Benang built the EG40 bore pad at Eglinton, delivering service location, survey and soil testing, an upgraded access point with a new culvert, road improvements and a 200mm limestone pad inside an environmentally sensitive area with Aboriginal heritage conditions.

Challenge
The bore pad sat inside an environmentally sensitive area carrying Aboriginal heritage conditions and restrictions, so every clearing and access decision had to respect the approvals exactly.
Approach
Benang completed the service location, survey and soil testing, upgraded the access point and installed a culvert near the existing road, improved the short road section at the bore site entrance, pruned trees for truck access and placed the 200mm limestone pad after environmental clearing.
Outcome
The pad and access works were completed across September and October 2022 with no lost time injuries and no environmental incidents.
