Benang delivered drainage culvert upgrades across a 19 kilometre stretch of Brand Highway near Gin Gin under the principal contractor, completing investigation, design validation, earthworks and concrete formwork beside live traffic in an environmentally sensitive area.

Challenge
The culvert upgrades ran across multiple locations along 19 kilometres of live highway, in an environmentally sensitive corridor, inside an eight week program.
Approach
Benang completed the investigation and design validation, then delivered the earthworks and concrete formwork needed to extend the existing culverts past the new road boundary, moving the crew location to location under traffic management.
Outcome
The minor capital works packages were delivered inside the eight week program with no lost time injuries and no environmental incidents.
