Challenge
ATCO needs reliable, ready crews and plant for gas maintenance and project work across its WA network on an ongoing basis.
Approach
Benang supplies wet hire crews and plant and self-performs gas main installation and replacement, covering excavation, installation and alteration, backfill, testing, commissioning, and reinstatement across residential, commercial, and development areas.
Outcome
The arrangement has run continuously since March 2021 and continues today, alongside Benang's delivery of the Project Moorditj gas infrastructure program for ATCO, with 30 per cent Aboriginal participation, zero lost time injuries, and zero environmental incidents.
