Challenge
Building a data centre at a remote Pilbara mine site meant covering every discipline, from earthworks to electrical commissioning, inside a 10 week programme and to mine site standards.
Approach
Benang self-performed the build end to end: excavation and site preparation, formwork and reinforcement, concrete works, structural steel including columns and stairs, positioning of the building, then the electrical and communications fit out with full testing and commissioning.
Outcome
The data centre was delivered in a 10 week programme with zero lost time injuries, zero environmental incidents, and 10 per cent Aboriginal participation.
