
630mm Pipeline Cutover, Mirrabooka
Benang delivered critical shutdown works on a live 630mm mild steel cement lined water main at Mirrabooka. The job ran as night works with complex brownfield excavation, welding, and commissioning, completed inside a single month with zero lost time injuries.

Challenge
The 630mm main is part of a live network. The cutover had to happen during a tightly scheduled shutdown, at night, with minimal disruption to supply and to traffic.
Approach
Benang ran the works under traffic management at night, excavated the live brownfield site, completed the welding and the cutover, then reinstated and commissioned the main inside the shutdown window.
Outcome
The critical works were completed in July 2022 with zero lost time injuries and zero environmental incidents.
